Support analytics configuration

**Feature request**
It would be great to have backup for types.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_backup` with default `false`.

No files or tests are named. Start by locating the configuration parsing and analytics or deployment entry points, then determine what “backup for types” means and where enable_backup should be applied. Done means the option defaults to false, enables the agreed backup behavior when true, and is covered by relevant tests.
