Refactor routes for better readability

**Feature request**
It would be great to have logging for components.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_logging` with default `false`.

Start by locating the configuration handling and the component execution or logging entry points in the repository. Add the enable_logging option with a default of false, then verify that enabling it produces component logs while the default preserves current behavior.
