Update components documentation

**Feature request**
It would be great to have compression for auth.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_compression` with default `false`.

Locate the authentication configuration and the components documentation referenced by the issue, then check how existing configuration options are represented. Done means agreeing where enable_compression belongs, preserving its default of false, documenting the option, and verifying the authentication behavior for enabled and disabled settings.
