Optimize utils for large datasets

**Feature request**
It would be great to have export for api.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_export` with default `false`.

Start by locating the configuration handling for the new `enable_export` option and the API entry point that would expose the export. Clarify what data and export format are required, then verify that the default remains `false` and that enabling the option produces the intended API output.
