Update helpers documentation

**Feature request**
It would be great to have analytics for hooks.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_analytics` with default `false`.

Review the existing hook behavior and configuration conventions before deciding how analytics should be represented; done means the new enable_analytics option defaults to false and analytics for hooks works for production deployments.
