Update components documentation

**Feature request**
It would be great to have retry for lib.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_retry` with default `false`.

No files or tests are named. Start by locating the library's configuration handling and the components documentation, then trace where the requested retry behavior would apply. Done should include an `enable_retry` option that defaults to `false`, with the option and its behavior documented.
