Support caching configuration

**Feature request**
It would be great to have timeout for store.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_timeout` with default `false`.

The issue names no files or tests. Start by locating the store configuration and existing configuration options, then determine where the new enable_timeout setting belongs. Done means the option defaults to false and provides the requested store timeout behavior for production deployments.
