Improve data performance

Currently components lacks proper retry support.

**Proposed solution**
Add configurable retry with sensible defaults.

**Priority**: Low/Medium

The issue does not identify files, components, or tests. First locate the components implementation and its current failure or request-handling path, then determine the expected retry configuration and sensible defaults with the maintainers. Done means configurable retry behavior is implemented and covered by tests for the default and configured cases.
