Add configuration options for caching

**Feature request**
It would be great to have analytics for types.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_analytics` with default `false`.

The issue does not name any configuration file, analytics implementation, entry point, or test. First clarify what “analytics for types” should measure and where configuration is defined, then identify the expected behavior of enable_analytics and its default before estimating the work. Done should include an agreed analytics scope, the configuration behavior, and tests for the disabled default and enabled path.
