Support sorting configuration

**Feature request**
It would be great to have export for middleware.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_export` with default `false`.

First locate the configuration handling and middleware export paths; no files or tests are named in the issue. Clarify whether the intended change is the title's sorting configuration or the body's middleware export, then define how the new `enable_export` option behaves with its default set to `false`.
