Improve hooks performance

**Feature request**
It would be great to have search for routes.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_search` with default `false`.

Start by locating the route-handling and hook-related code in the Operator repository, then identify where configuration options are defined. Check how route lookup currently works and determine the expected behavior when `enable_search` is false or true. Done means the option defaults to false and enables route search without changing the default behavior.
