Pitch to apple

Apologize if this isn't the right forum, but I think, as well as yourself, as many people who are using this project, that this is the missing tool from the Xcode toolchain. Thank you for writing it, and maintaining it. I hope one day that Apple will offer a tool like this, but more importantly, this tool if there's some interest from both sides there.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but I'm calling it out, that the benefits go beyond just build/integration tooling. Swift will support LSP, and this tool essentially allows any IDE a path to integrate with Xcode itself rather than just the Swift toolchain. It could be a boon for adoption, as it lowers barriers for engineers to try client-side Swift development, but have IDE bias.

This is a broad proposal about XcodeGen, Swift, Xcode, and IDE integration rather than a defined implementation task. No file, test, entry point, or acceptance criterion is named; review the project's scope and discussion context with maintainers first, then establish a concrete target and definition of done before starting work.
