postGenCommand breaks password input

Description
When i add pod install --repo-update in postGenCommand, and it asks for username it just hangs.
However if i run same command from terminal, or from other script it asks for password and do the updating work

Start at the postGenCommand handling and reproduce the issue with pod install --repo-update, comparing it with the same command run directly in a terminal. Done means the generated command no longer hangs and allows username and password input so the update completes.
