Description

While looking on why the tests was failing for this PR, I observed that the uniqueness constraint was not setup for MongoDB and it has been mentioned explicitly in the documentation.

With the presence of the createIndex function in mongoDB package, it should be possible to implement it. Is there any reason why it has not been implemented ?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the tests referenced in pull request 618 and the MongoDB backend's use of the mongoDB package's createIndex function. Determine where uniqueness constraints are defined for other backends, then implement equivalent MongoDB index handling and verify that the uniqueness tests pass.
