Description

The above input didn't work, tried with increased exposure:

The font was generated fine using handwrite-web (handwrite 0.2.1), but it had 2 issues:

  1. The grey lines appearing (this also messes up the kerning)
  2. #69

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported result with handwrite-web 0.2.1 using the attached input images, then trace the font-generation path that turns the form input into a font. Done means grey highlights are not added to the font and no longer interfere with kerning; also check the related issue #69 and the testing context in #67.
