Description

Hi, I see that PlayReady is supported under Android, but not under Windows.
I was just wondering if there are plans to support PlayReady 3 in Windows.

Having PlayReady 3 support in Windows would presumably lead to plugins being able to stream 4k HDR content from streaming subscriptions like Netflix and Disney+ under Windows, just like we can already do when using Edge (Chromium).

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reviewing the existing Android PlayReady support and the Windows platform handling, then determine whether PlayReady 3 can be integrated; done would require a clear implementation plan or validated Windows support for the described streaming use case.
