Description
Hello,
I've been getting an issue with WSO2 AM v2.2
[2023-04-28 13:34:38,644] ERROR - ThriftAuthenticationJDBCPersistenceManager Error when getting a database connection object from the Thrift Authentication data source.
org.apache.tomcat.jdbc.pool.PoolExhaustedException: [http-nio-9443-exec-25] Timeout: Pool empty. Unable to fetch a connection in 60 seconds, none available**[size:80; bus
y:0; idle:0; lastwait:60000].**
Looking at the busy and ideal connections, doesn't look like increasing the maxActive connection would make any difference. What exactly is the Root Cause of this issue?
Also, it has been observed that restarting the APIM fixes the same.

Research direction
Review the linked configuring-data-sources page and the reported ThriftAuthenticationJDBCPersistenceManager/PoolExhaustedException log. Determine the documented root cause and whether the page should explain the connection-pool behavior and restart workaround; done means the page addresses the question with a verified explanation.
