Description

I created a slate editor with spellcheck enabled. But, when clicking on a misspelled word and select correct spelled word from the suggestion list, it will insert the correctly spelled word where the cursor is positionned at instead of replacing the whole word.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the misspelled-word correction in Firefox 123.0.1 with Slate 0.102.0 and Slate-Angular 16.1.0-next.20, using the linked screenshot as context. Done means selecting a suggestion replaces the entire misspelled word rather than inserting text at the cursor position.
