Description

This is a replica of this issue: https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android/issues/21545

Expected behavior

When using the Jetpack Mobile App on iOS, I expect to view the Daily Prompt along with the collection of all writing prompts.

If I choose the option for "View More Prompts", I should see all of the prompts for the last week (at a minimum) including today.

If I choose "Skip for today", I should still be able to view the Daily Prompt for today in the "View More Prompts" list.

Actual behavior

If I choose the option for "View More Prompts", the prompts listed do not include today. For example, on December 18, I clicked "View More Prompts". However, the prompts listed were only for approximately one week. The most recent prompt is dated December 14.

If I choose "Skip for today" the latest prompt shown in the "View More Prompts" section is December 13 (or earlier).

If I turn off the prompt then later turn on the card showing the Daily Prompt, the "View More Prompts" list is not updated.

Steps to reproduce the behavior
  1. Open the Jetpack App, select My Site.
  2. Go to the section titled Prompts to view the Daily Prompt for today.
  3. Click on the three dots to the right of the title "Prompts" to view more options.
  4. Select "View more prompts".
  5. View the list of daily prompts. Note that the first prompt is not the one for today.
  6. Go back to My Site.
  7. Go to the section titled Prompts to view the Daily Prompt for today.
  8. Click on the three dots to the right of the title "Prompts" to view more options.
  9. Select "Skip for today". Notice the banner "Prompt skipped - undo" pops up.
  10. Notice that the prompt has changed in the "Prompts section".
  11. Click on the three dots to the right of the title "Prompts" to view more options.
  12. Select "View more prompts".
  13. Notice that the daily prompts list does not include the prompt for today, nor the new prompt that was displayed after choosing "Skip for today". You may also see that some prompts are repeated in the list.

Image Caption: View more prompts section shows that the most recent prompt is from December 14, however, the date the screenshot was taken is December 18. After skipping prompts, one of the prompts is displayed multiple times.

Additional observation: The option to deactivate or activate is not accurate in the "learn more" section. It says: Note: You can control Blogging Prompts and Reminders at any time in My Site > Settings > Blogging But, the setting is only to control reminders, not turn the Daily Prompt on and off.

Tested on iPhone 14, iOS 18.1.1, Jetpack app version 25.4.2 (25.4.2.0)

Research direction

Start by reproducing the listed steps in the Jetpack app, focusing on View More Prompts after opening, skipping, or reactivating the Daily Prompt. Trace the prompt list update and retrieval behavior, then verify that today's prompt and the newly displayed prompt appear without duplicates. Also check whether the Learn More text accurately describes the available setting.
