Description
The post list card for the post doesn’t reflect changes to the image if the image was edited while offline. Any text that has been edited will show up in the thumbnail, but not the image. This happens whether using Gutenberg or classic editor.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Go offline.
- Open a post with an image and edit that image.
- Click “update” - note the message stating the device is offline and will update when online.
- The post list card doesn’t not show the updated image.
Recording:

Tested on [device], iOS [version], WPiOS [version]
- Device: iPad Mini (5th gen)
- iOS version 13.3
- WPiOS version 14.2

Research direction
Start by reproducing the offline image edit flow in the WordPress iOS app, then trace how the offline update reaches the post list card. Verify the behavior in both Gutenberg and classic editor flows; done means the card displays the updated image after the device reconnects.
