Description

Expected behavior

When showing/hiding a site from within the Site Picker screen, then the selected side should be shown if SHOW is selected, as well, the selected side should be hidden if HIDE is selected. See screen recording below for when that flow works as expected:

https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android/assets/9729923/bc32a251-87d5-4f98-892d-1d77aafb1f20

Actual behavior

Given the user tried to first add a new site, either via the Create WordPress.com site or Add self-hosted site flow, when trying to show/hide a site back from within the Site Picker screen, then the selected is not shown if SHOW is selected, also, the selected side is not hidden if HIDE is selected. See screen recording below for when that flow doesn't work as expected:

https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android/assets/9729923/2405a0af-3f6e-41cb-9d88-3cab0793b1b5

Steps to reproduce the behavior

See Actual behavior section above.

Tested on [Pixel 4a], Android [13], JPAndroid [23.2 (1369)]

Research direction

Start at the Site Picker screen and reproduce the SHOW/HIDE flow after using either the Create WordPress.com site or Add self-hosted site flow, comparing it with the working path described in the recordings. Done means the selected site is shown for SHOW and hidden for HIDE in both cases; the issue does not name a file or test to run.
