Description
Expected behavior
I expected to have the option to choose an image from the WordPress Media Library when changing my profile image.
Actual behavior
When changing the profile image, only the device image library is presented.
It's possible to access WordPress Media Library when setting a site icon, so I see no reason it shouldn't also be available when setting a profile image.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Go to My Site > Me
- Tap your profile photo or icon
- Note that your recent device images are displayed, along with a camera button you can tap to take a new photo
Tested on Samsung Galaxy S21, Android 12, JP Android 21.1-rc-3
Found during usability exploration: pdcxQM-1ff-p2

Research direction
Start by locating the Android profile-image flow reached from My Site > Me and compare it with the existing site-icon flow that opens the WordPress Media Library. The work is done when changing a profile image offers Media Library selection in addition to device images and camera capture, with the behavior verified on Android.
