Description

Expected behavior

I expect the app to not change from Dark to Light mode when editing a block. I only experienced this bug with the build number below and not in the TestFlight build of the app.

Actual behavior

Android app changes to light mode when editing a Block in landscape.

Steps to reproduce the behavior
  1. Start editing a block in dark mode and portrait mode
  2. Rotate device to landscape.
  3. Notice app goes to light mode

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue on Samsung A51 or an Android 11 device using WPAndroid Alpha pr-16196-build-121304, following the listed portrait-to-landscape editing steps. Review the related PR 39726 and compare this build with the TestFlight behavior; done means the app remains in dark mode while editing a block after rotation.
