Description

Idea for a simple transition/animation.

  • In Onboarding Existing Users project, we started asking users to choose which site to open, then asking if they wanted help with a quick start prompt
  • The UI for the two screens is similar
  • When the user selects a site, it would be nice to keep that selection in view, then bring in the quick start prompt below it

Below is a proof of concept animation that I made a while back. The UI in the mock is slightly out of date but the same concept applies.

Research direction

Start by locating the Android onboarding flow for choosing a site and displaying the quick start prompt; no source file or test is named in the issue. Compare the current screens with the linked proof-of-concept animation and the iOS task, then confirm that the selected site remains in view while the quick start prompt appears below it.
