Description

Expected behavior

Posts should behave the same on both Reader view and Site view

Actual behavior

Images are not being redirect to external URL from Reader View and external images are not displayed from Reader View

Steps to reproduce the behavior
  1. Login to WordPress Android and create a post with at least 4 images on it
  2. Set all 4 images to be linked to a different options from Link Settings (Media File, Attachment Page, Custom URL, external URL)
  3. View post from Posts and observe each image's behavior
  4. View post from Reader and observe each image's behavior
  5. See that on Reader, the Link Settings is not respected - tested the same post on Reader on Chrome browser and it works as expected

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue in WordPress Android 18.7 using the listed image Link Settings, then compare the post in Posts and Reader views. Check how Reader handles image links and external images; done means all four link options behave consistently with Site view. No source file or test is named in the issue.
