Description

What software would you like us to add to wolfi-os. Ideally include a URL to the project and its source.

This plugin helps you to use the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) to start and end sessions to your managed instances

which versions of the software should we include?

latest

Add some justification for why this specific package and versions are important.

Latest version should fine fine, which is 1.2.804.0 at this time. This plugin is required for AMI Creation which Packer, which allows us to connect to EC2 Instance over secure Session Manager tunner rather than SSH.

Please check all that apply
  • This package has an un-restrictive license
  • The package/versions proposed are actively maintained upstream
  • I am interested in adding this package to Wolfi OS myself
  • I am willing to help maintain this package

Research direction

Begin by reviewing Wolfi OS package contribution conventions and the upstream AWS Session Manager Plugin source for version 1.2.804.0; the issue does not name a source URL, recipe, entry point, or test. Confirm the package supports AWS CLI sessions and Packer AMI creation, and that the selected version and license meet the request.
