Description

This is intended for the author of this program.
Or anyone else with the knowledge and willing to contribute.

It would be great if this program would be part of Debian's 'main' (fully open source) repository.
Which comes with various advantages, like easier install, update, uninstall, proper arch (x86, armv8, etc.) automatically selected and reproducible builds, which are great for privacy and security!

The following projects have responded to similar requests in the past, where it can be seen how they did it:
https://github.com/JonMagon/KDiskMark/issues/110
https://github.com/evilsocket/opensnitch/issues/798
And and a contributor made an ITP for this one too, so it's in progress:
https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-qt/issues/1109#issuecomment-2897149287

It's a shame that more than 73K packages will be available in Debian's main repository for its next release and this one will not available there too.

Thank you!

Research direction

Start by reviewing Debian's process for adding software to the main repository, then compare the linked KDiskMark, OpenSnitch, and Moonlight examples. Determine what packaging, licensing, architecture, and reproducible-build work Wire Desktop would require; done means the Debian inclusion work is accepted or clearly documented.
