Desktop Entries Not Launching Apps

What happened?

WinApp creates .desktop entries on installation. However, when I click on these entires, nothing happens and it quits silently, without any window, though I can launch my apps with winapps ... or /home/pairman/.local/bin/winapps ... manually in the terminal.

An reinstallation of winapps does not work. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

Start by inspecting the generated .desktop entries and the /home/pairman/.local/bin/winapps entry point, then compare how the desktop launcher invokes mspaint with the working winapps command. Review ~/.local/share/winapps/winapps.log while launching an entry; done means clicking a generated entry launches the application and no longer exits silently.
