Description

Just like the title implies, trying to load the UAC Yes/No prompt from a floating window such as Explorer or Firefox opens a new blank full screen window that freezes the session over.

To get that solved, I have to enter some sort of task manager such as btop, and kill all xfreerdp sessions. Sometimes, the black window would have an X to close the window, which works, but sometimes its a solid black screen and nothing but killing the process fixes it.

The image attached shows what happened when I tried to run "sunshine-windows-installer", trying to interact with any xfreerdp element does nothing.

I am currently using Fedora Workstation 40 with X11.

Please let me know if you need any additional information and I will gladly provide it.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the UAC prompt from Explorer or Firefox while running sunshine-windows-installer on Fedora Workstation 40 with X11. Inspect the affected xfreerdp sessions and determine why the prompt produces a blank, frozen window; done means the UAC prompt appears and the session remains interactive without killing xfreerdp.
