Description
In the classic website, there were some issues with how the names of authors where shown in the pathways. It was first shown as "original creator of pathway" plus editors, but if you clicked the "et al." at the end (showing: javascript:AuthorInfo.showAllAuthors() ), the order could change (since then it was correctly counted by number of edits).
Questions @mkutmon @egonw :
- Do we have the nr. of edits per author per pathway?
- How are the other names in the GPML (re)organised (since these are now the source of depicting authors and their order)?
- How are the counts now updated (to give people credit for the work they're doing)?
- Do we have updates stats for pathway curators?

Research direction
Start by tracing how pathway author names are rendered and how GPML author data is used, then investigate whether edit counts exist per author and pathway. Compare the current ordering and curator statistics with the classic website behavior; done should include agreed answers or a defined, consistent author-ordering and counting requirement.
