Description

cc @nmearl

In Cosmic data stories https://www.cosmicds.cfa.harvard.edu/ a reconnect will restore the state the user was on from a database. This means that if a machine goes down (due to scalign down), and a browser reconnects, it may not be an error.

Solara cannot know this, so we should have an option to configure this. Naming this might be hard (maybe * SOLARA_RECONNNECT_IS_ERROR=False)

Research direction

No file or test is named in the issue. Start by tracing Solara’s reconnect handling and existing configuration options, then clarify how reconnecting to a different server should be classified and add coverage showing the configured behavior is respected.
