Description

Using client.connect(None) to connect to a wss:// endpoint, but got TLS Handshake failure.

Connecting to ws:// endpoint works just fine.

Tool-chain: stable-i686-pc-windows-gnu
Environment: Windows 10 x64

Is there any way to diagnose the problem? Any pointers?

Research direction

The report names no source file or test; start by reproducing client.connect(None) against the reported wss:// endpoint on the stated Windows toolchain and compare it with ws://. Trace the TLS handshake failure and document a reproducible diagnosis or fix, with a regression test if the repository supports one.
