Description

I think the bottleneck in my app is pushing data over the websocket, and maybe compression would help. I see this item in the roadmap, but I'm wondering how hard it is to add / how far off it might be?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the referenced roadmap item and the issue's goal of adding permessage-deflate compression for WebSocket traffic. The payload names no source files, tests, or entry points, so those would need to be located before work begins. Done would mean defined permessage-deflate support with coverage for the agreed behavior.
