Description

Many webpack packages support EoL versions of Node.js, which opens the door for various security issues. I propose that in the next major of every webpack package, Node.js EoL versions are no longer supported.

Research direction

Start by identifying the webpack packages covered by this proposal and where each package declares its supported Node.js versions. Review which versions are EoL and how the next major release policy would apply across packages. Done means the affected packages and a concrete support policy are agreed, with no package continuing to support EoL Node.js versions in its next major release.
