Research direction

Start by auditing the dependency manifest and the listed replacement candidates: Jest, Tapable, glob-to-regexp, and loader-runner. Determine which dependencies are unused or redundant and validate whether the proposed Node.js replacements preserve behavior. Done means the dependency footprint is reduced without regressions, while install time, bundle size, and security surface are improved.
