Describe the bug

On MacOS Sonoma, Warp suddenly stopped rendering its windows, ie, the app would start, my usual terminals would open but they would not be rendered on the desktop. Also, the settings screen would not render.

I initially thought this had to do with a recent upgrade to Sonoma and my eGPU but disconnected the eGPU did not have any effect. Right clicking on Warp and clicking "Show all Windows" showed me just the window names on the desktop background.

I use Magnet to manage windows and it's especially handy with Warp and many terminal windows. So I tried to select a window in Warp's window menu and then use Magnet to make it occupy the right half of the screen. When I did a Warp terminal window appeared, small and not the correct size. When trying to use Magnet again it correctly resized to half of my screen. It's been working normally again ever since.

Does this block you from using Warp daily?

Yes, this issue prevents me from using Warp daily.

Is this a Warp specific issue? (i.e. does it happen in Terminal, iTerm, Kitty, etc.)

Yes, this I confirmed this only happens in Warp, not other terminals.

Research direction

The report names no source files, tests, or entry points and provides no reliable reproduction steps. Start by investigating the Sonoma window-rendering behavior with Magnet, using the reported Warp and macOS versions; done means identifying a reproducible cause and verifying that Warp windows render and resize normally.
