Does this block you from using Warp daily?
Yes, this issue prevents me from using Warp daily.
Is this a Warp specific issue? (i.e. does it happen in Terminal, iTerm, Kitty, etc.)
Yes, this I confirmed this only happens in Warp, not other terminals.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue in Warp on macOS 12.6 using zsh, then compare directory and file colors with another terminal. Trace the Warp terminal color-rendering entry point and determine what is needed for directory names to display their theme colors; done means directories and files no longer render identically when the theme distinguishes them.
