Describe the bug

The blue background is not dark enough and yellow highlight is not present at all.

To reproduce
  1. install https://github.com/krolig/mc/releases/download/4.8.26/mc-4.8.26-x86_64-slang.dmg
  2. run mc in warp
  3. press "Ctrl+T" to select and highlight a file
Expected behavior

I expect Warp to not mess mc colors, see screenshots.

Does this block you from using Warp daily?

Yes, this issue prevents me from using Warp daily.

Is this a Warp specific issue? (i.e. does it happen in Terminal, iTerm, Kitty, etc.)

Yes, this I confirmed this only happens in Warp, not other terminals.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue by running Midnight Commander with the supplied macOS release in Warp, selecting a file with Ctrl+T, and comparing the colors with Terminal.app. Start by examining the issue discussion and the terminal color-rendering path; done means Midnight Commander shows the expected dark blue background and yellow highlight without affecting other terminal behavior.
