I'd like the sidebar toggle button to better indicate that it toggles the sidebar.
I spent the first 15 minutes in the app confused by the sidebar that wouldn't go away.
The typical UI for toggling a sidebar is a hamburger button: https://codepen.io/tonkec/pen/gryZmg
But what we have is a button that appears to control a dropdown. I originally didn't associate it with the sidebar at all, I thought it was an extra button that controlled a different menu, like the second screenshot below.
