Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the hotkey handling and terminal window show/hide behavior, then clarify the desired slide direction, timing, and platform scope; done means the window animates reliably when the hotkey displays or hides it.

Describe the solution you'd like?

It would be very cool to have the terminal window slide in on pressing the hotkey, rather than just displaying and hiding it on hotkey.

How important is this feature to you?
