Research direction

The issue does not identify files, tests, or an entry point. Locate the hotkey window implementation and determine how its visibility and positioning are handled, then define how users would configure enter and exit animations. Done means the window can optionally animate in and out without changing the existing instant behavior.

Describe the solution you'd like?
As a user, I should be able to specify an animation for my hotkey window to enter and exit view if desired. Today, the hotkey window instantly renders in the preferred location.

Additional context

I think that adding the option for a hotkey window enter/exit animation can add a lot of visual value to the user experience.
