Description

VideoFrame has VideoFrameMetadata, which is very useful for, well, metadata. But there is no equivalent for AudioData.

For example, PR #813 adds capturer and webrtc-related timestamp metadata to VideoFrame. We would like something similar for AudioData.

Research direction

Start by reviewing VideoFrameMetadata and the metadata added by PR #813, then compare what metadata is available for AudioData. Determine whether an equivalent AudioData metadata surface is needed for capturer and WebRTC-related timestamps, and define the expected API behavior before implementation.
