"Proof points" language unclear

Description
“Proof points” seems slightly unclear to me. Not sure why but ‘Points of evidence’ or even just ‘Evidence’ might be more appropriate.
As I read more it seems to me that ‘proof points’ are more about areas of impact on accessible outcomes or areas of measurement. ‘Proof point’ just doesn’t seem to capture this.
Thinking on this more a structure might be Dimension > Checkpoint > Evidence - checkpoint seems to my mind to capture more of what that part of the structure is.
