Description

There's is currently no way to opt-out of the "form assistant bar"

As you see in below screenshot, it takes a lot of space, so the editable surface becomes smaller. We'd like to be able to opt-out of this toolbar, and render our own "Hide keyboard" tool.

Research direction

Start by reading this issue alongside the linked WebKit bug 319762 to understand the iOS Safari form assistant bar and the requested opt-out behavior. Identify the relevant editing spec or explainer entry point, then define what an opt-out and custom hide-keyboard control must mean; done when that behavior is specified clearly and its platform constraints are addressed.
