Description

Currently they are only removed if you invoke revokeObjectURL(). There's a statement of fact at https://w3c.github.io/FileAPI/#url

All URLs are revoked when the global that created the URL itself goes away.

but there are no corresponding requirements.

Research direction

Start with the File API URL section linked in the issue and compare its statement that URLs are revoked when the creating global goes away with the surrounding requirements. The work is done when the specification clearly defines the required removal of Blob URL store entries when that global is destroyed.
