Research direction

The issue names no files or tests; start by locating the Puppet module logic that installs PHP header packages and inspect how the provider value is handled. Done means custom packages with an undefined or non-pecl/non-pear provider also receive their header packages, with existing pecl and pear behavior preserved.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Currently the header packages are only installed when the provides is set to pecl or pear. We build custom packages and it would be nice that header packages are also installed when provider is not defined
