• projectM doesn't crash on wayland.
• update to 4.x version.

Steps to reproduce

• sudo xbps-install projectM
• open Playlist menu.
• Add Presets, /usr/libexec/projectM/presets/.
• choose .milk presets.
• right click on visualization.
• crash.

Start by reproducing the crash with projectM-pulseaudio under Wayland using the listed Playlist, Add Presets, and right-click steps. Read the linked NixOS issue and compare the packaged projectM-3.1.12_2 with upstream projectM 4.1.3. Done means the Void package no longer crashes in this scenario and the requested version update is addressed.
