Steps to reproduce

To reproduce the bug just run wvdial as Root which at the end of the output shows "Segmentation fault".

The /etc/wvdial.conf file is configured.

Segmentation fault

Start by reproducing the crash with the reported wvdial configuration and modem interaction, especially after the carrier is detected. Then inspect the wvdial package and its runtime behavior around that transition; done means the reported command completes without a segmentation fault.
