No response
Expected behaviour
- Using the slider for changing the brightness, should work.
- Using the keys for changing the brightness, should work.
Actual behaviour
Neither the slider nor the keys work for changing backlight.
Using light -S 10 works for me.
I tried this solution but it didn't work: https://askubuntu.com/a/1402769
Steps to reproduce
- Start gnome session from gdm.
- Try to change backlight.

Research direction
Reproduce the issue in a GNOME 44 session started from GDM on the reported Void Linux system, testing both the brightness slider and keyboard keys. Compare that behavior with the reported working light -S 10 command; done means both normal GNOME controls change the backlight as expected.
