Research direction

Start by reproducing the crash with mkvtoolnix-gui under Xorg using the listed Void Linux package versions. Inspect /home/user/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log and compare behavior across mkvtoolnix-gui-75.0.0_2 and xorg-server-21.1.8_1. Done means identifying the responsible package or interaction and confirming that launching the application no longer crashes Xorg.
